Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old and hold a graduate degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Agriculture, Commerce, or Accounting. An 80-hour ICT skills certificate is required at the time of appointment. Candidates will sit a 100-mark written test on 17 August 2025—60 marks for objective data analysis and 40 for analytical writing, both in English with no negative marking; 40 percent in each part is needed to qualify. Successful candidates will serve a two-year probation at the Statistical Cell, Chandigarh Secretariat, under the New Pension Scheme.
