Navik (General Duty)
12th pass with Maths and Physics from COBSE
Navik (Domestic Branch)
10th pass from COBSE
Yantrik
10th pass + Diploma (3 or 4 years) in Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Telecommunication Engineering (AICTE approved), OR
10th & 12th pass + Diploma (2 or 3 years) in above branches (AICTE approved).
Equivalent diploma branches accepted for Yantrik post include Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication, Marine Engineering, Instrumentation, Production Engineering, Ship Building Engineering, and others as specified.
Candidates must fill marks of all subjects exactly as per mark sheets; incorrect details lead to cancellation.
Yantrik candidates without original diploma at Stage -II must upload provisional certificate signed by college head; original diploma mandatory at Stage-III

Four stages
Stage I
Online examination and basic document verification including identity check, biometric verification (left thumb/right thumb fingerprint), photograph and signature verification
Stage II
Assessment test (OMR based, qualifying only), physical fitness test, detailed document verification, initial medical examination
Stage III
Final medical examination at INS Chilka, final document verification
Stage IV
Submission and verification of all original documents
Identity verification at every stage is mandatory; failure leads to cancellation
Candidates shortlisted for Stage II based on Stage I performance and recruitment center capacity
Stage II date and center allocation on first-come-first-served basis after uploading additional documents
Passing all stages is compulsory for final selection
Salary Details
Navik (General Duty) & Navik (Domestic Branch)
Basic pay ₹21,700/- (Pay Level 3) plus allowances as per Indian Coast Guard pay rules
Yantrik
Basic pay ₹29,200/- (Pay Level 5) plus Yantrik pay ₹6,200/- and other allowances
Salary structure follows 7th CPC pay matrix
